Syndication Through FTP
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is one of the essential methods for promptly sending your vehicle inventory to HeyAutos ecosystem. This section offers a step-by-step guide on using FTP for syndication, ensuring your inventory remains up-to-date and accessible.
Obtaining FTP credentials
If you plan to syndicate your inventory to HeyAuto through FTP, simply request FTP credentials from our technical support team at it@heyauto.com. These credentials will provide you with access to your personal FTP folder, including the FTP server's host, a unique username, and a specific password. With these credentials, you can easily upload your inventory feeds in CSV format.
Where to put FTP files
When connected, FTP files should be stored in the root directory of the FTP server, which is unique to your credentials.
What files should be uploaded to the FTP server
Uploaded files on the FTP server must be in CSV format and meet the CSV File Requirements specified in this documentation.
How often should these files be updated
For the best experience and the most up-to-date dealership inventory data, it's recommended to upload FTP files to HeyAutos FTP server daily.
